Issuu.com is an interesting take on PDFs and sharing. From their website description “Issuu is the place for online publications: Magazines, catalogs, documents, and stuff you’d normally find on print. It’s the place where YOU become the publisher: Upload a document, it’s fast, easy, and totally FREE. Find and comment on thousands of great publications. Join a living library, where anyone finds publications about anything and share them with friends”
Here is a link to a PDF I uploaded on there a while back:
A recent favorite shot of the creek near our house:
This can be a touchy subject for both the photographer and the potential client, but I feel that ta recent post by Lori Osterberg does a good job of highlighting the merits of choosing a professional photographer. I have had to enumerate some of the many tasks that I take on in the process of preparing, shooting and processing a job for clients and sometimes it is an eye-opener for them. Other times, I suppose it sounds like a sales job, but nonetheless it does require much more than just showing up with a camera and shooting. The best photographers have great technical skills that seamlesly serve their creative impulses, resulting in stellar work for their clients. In the end, everyone wants memorable images and that is what we strive to produce.

I photographed a wonderful, fun couple named Alyssa and Brent the weekend before last. It is so enjoyable to shoot weddings with people as welcoming as relaxed as Alyssa and Brent and their entire wedding party were. They had a small wedding in La Porte and a great reception at Minute Maid Park. Here are a few samples of their happy day.
I had a session with a young model named Chris recently and here are a few samples.
He is very laid-back and easy to work with. He is hoping to get a start in modeling and needed his first head shots.
